For 26 years the Rosebank distillery lay dormant, nestled on the banks of the Forth and Clyde canal, Scotland. The once beloved single malt was all but relegated to the history books… until we, at Ian Macleod Distillers, awoke the sleeping giant.
Resurrecting Rosebank has been no easy feat but, since acquiring the distillery in 2017, we’ve been working tirelessly to do so.
This includes building a modern distillery, set to open in 2022, where we’ll employ the same unique production techniques for which Rosebank is famed: marrying triple distillation and worm tub condensers.
Rosebank 30 Year Old, our first global release, is an incredible expression and I’m honoured to share a dram exclusively with you.

Rosebank 30 Year Old - Release One
A hand selected 30 Year Old vintage laid down in 1990
Tasting notes
Soft and creamy on the nose, with layers of caramel wafer, vanilla and nutmeg. Delicate and crisp on the palate with a wonderful balance of gentle syrup, pear and pleasing oak spice. A lingering finish of candied violets, orange and faint mint. Triple distilled and un-chillfiltered with an ABV of 48.6%

A Spirit Reawakened
Once the beating heart of the Scottish town of Falkirk, Rosebank Distillery produced a whisky that was often described as the ‘King of the Lowlands’ until it's gates closed in 1993. Saved from becoming a footnote in history by Ian Macleod Distillers in 2017, now the painstaking process of restoring and reopening the distillery has begun.
